lamp's brightness to decrease; release the button.
04. Hold down the external button; wait for the green led to turn on and off; wait for
the lamp's brightness to increase and then decrease; wait for the led and lamp
to both emit 2 brief flashes; release the external button.
05. Select the type of function you wish to program from the list and slowly press the
external button the number of times indicated for that function:
• "Dimmer Up > Dimmer Down > Dimmer Up > etc....." / "Toggle" (= 1
press)
• "Dimmer Up" (= 2 presses)
• "Dimmer Down" (= 3 presses)
• "Toggle" (= 4 presses)
• "Level 1" (= 5 presses)
• "Level 2" (= 6 presses)
• "Level 3" (= 7 presses)
• "Level 4" (= 8 presses)
• "Off" (= 9 presses)
• "On" (= 10 presses)
Wait for the green led and the lamp to flash the same number of times as the
number of presses, corresponding to the selected function. Then wait for the
lamp to turn off.
06. Hold down the transmitter button you want to program; release after the first
time the led flashes green (followed by 2 more flashes); the lamp turns on at 50%
brightness.
If you wish to memorise another button on the same, or another, transmitter, repeat
the procedure from the beginning.
10.2 - Deleting the memory (using an external button)
You can use the external button to totally or partially delete the dimmer's memory.
Before starting, turn on the lamp, set it to minimum brightness, and turn it off.
01. Shut off power to the dimmer.
02. Hold down the external button; power up the dimmer and wait for the green led
to turn on and the lamp to turn on at minimum brightness. Release the button.
03. Hold down the external button; wait for the led to turn on steady green and the
lamp to increase its brightness; wait for the led to go out and the lamp's bright-
ness to decrease. Release the button.
04. Hold down the external button; wait for the led to turn on steady green and the
lamp to increase and decrease its brightness; wait for the led and lamp to flash
2 times. Release the button.
05. Hold down the external button; wait for the led to turn on steady green and then
turn off, and the lamp to increase and decrease its brightness; wait for the led to
flash green 5 times. Release the button.
06. Select what you want to delete from the following list, then press the external
button the same number of times as indicated for the option in question:
• delete transmitters only (= 1 press);
• delete parameters only (= 2 presses);
• delete all transmitters and parameters (= 3 presses).
Wait 10 seconds for the green led to flash the same number of times as the but-
ton presses (and hence your selected option).
07. Hold down the external button; wait for the led to turn on steady green and then
turn off; release the button and wait for the led to flash green 2 times.
The led flashes briefly green 2 times and the lamp flashes twice briefly to confirm.
The lamp then stays off.
11 - PROGRAMMING THE BRIGHTNESS LEVELS
4 brightness levels may be programmed into the dimmer. The factory settings are
as follows:
Level 1 = (25% brightness)
Level 2 = (50% brightness)
Level 3 = (75% brightness)
Level 4 = (100% brightness)
These levels may only be called up if the corresponding buttons of a transmitter are
programmed in Mode II. Caution! – A transmitter programmed in Mode I cannot call
up brightness settings. The 4 levels can be redefined using any of the three following
procedures.
11.1 - Setting a new level and memorizing it in Mode II (using
another previously memorized transmitter)
This procedure can only be done with a Mode I transmitter. The procedure resets a
single brightness level; to set another level, repeat the procedure from the beginning.
Before starting, turn on the lamp, set it to minimum brightness, and turn it off.
01. Hold down the button n; wait (5 seconds) for the lamp to turn on at maximum
brightness / the led to flash briefly green 1 time. Now release the button.
02. Hold down the button s; wait (5 seconds) for the lamp to reduce to 10% bright-
ness / the led to flash briefly green 2 times. Now release the button.
03. Use the buttons s and t to adjust the brightness of the lamp to the desired
value. Wait (10 seconds) for the lamp to turn off completely.
04. Select the level you wish to assign the setting to from the list and proceed as
indicated:
• Level 1 (= hold down s; wait for the led to flash green 3 times, then release
