Statistical analysis of the sentence recognition data shows
that AutoSense OS on a Naída CI M sound processor
performs better than AutoSound on a Naída CI Q sound
processor or the AutoSense OS Off program on a Naída CI
M sound processor when tested in noise. When tested in
quiet, statistical analysis of the data shows that AutoSense
OS on a Naída CI M sound processor is no worse than
AutoSound on a Naída CI Q sound processor.
Self-Assessment Questionnaire Results
Overall subjects' responses showed higher ratings after
using AutoSense OS on a Naída CI M sound processor
for 2-3 weeks as compared to ratings or their own
processor at the beginning of the study, indicating better
acceptability of AutoSense on a Naída CI M processor.
All subjects agreed or strongly agreed that AutoSense
on a M processor is acceptable for use.
Supplemental Study
A total of 10 subjects were enrolled in a prospective,
supplemental study using a within-subjects repeated-
measures design where each subject served as his/her
own control. Five subjects used the M Acoustic Earhook,
while the remaining 5 used the M T-Mic and electrical
stimulation only. The data presented below are pooled
between the two cohorts.
