· Keep the mains cable away from hot surfaces.
· Do not wind the mains cable around the hairdryer.
· Make sure that the mains cable is not twisted or kinked when stored.
· Never use the appliance where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is
released.
· To prevent injury, never use the appliance if the heating elements are damaged.
· As additional safety measure, it is recommended that a tested residual current appliance
(RCD) with a residual operating current of not more than 30 mA be installed in the bathroom
circuit. Your electrician will be pleased to help you.
· Dispose of unusable appliance in accordance with the legal provisions of the country in
which the appliance was purchased.
· We are not liable for damage caused as a result of improper use or failure to observe these
operating instructions.
· The appliance is safety insulated and radio screened. It meets the requirements of EU
Directive 2004/108/EC regarding electromagnetic compatibility and EC Low Voltage Directive
2006/95/EC.
CERAMIC and TOURMALINE coating
The coated heating plates have an antistatic effect and are gentle to the hair. Negative ions
close the scale layer, creating a smooth, silky hair surface. and lock in the natural moisture of
the hair, thereby creating the ultimate shine. Negative ions also remove the static charging of
the hair surface.
Operation
· Connect to the mains power supply.
· Using the on/off switch, switch on the appliance (Fig. 1a). The power light (D) will be illumi-
nated red.
· Set desired operating temperature with the temperature controller (C). The temperature can
be adjusted across an infinitely variable range between 140°C – 220°C.
· The appliance reaches operating temperature within a very short time.
· After use, switch off the appliance with the on/off (B) switch (Fig. 1b).
· Disconnect from the mains power supply.
· Allow the appliance to cool down.
Tips for successful styling
· Wash hair, rinse and dry well.
· Brush or comb hair.
· Section off individual strands of hair.
· At the hairline, place a section of hair between the heating plates.
· Keep the straightener pressed together for a few seconds and slowly pull it down the section
of hair away from the head.
Note: Do not leave the sections of hair in the straightener for more than a few seconds, oth-
erwise this could damage the hair.
· Open the straightener and allow the section of hair to slip out.
· Repeat the procedure until the desired result has been achieved.
