8 Commissioning

The EduTrainer
®
The circuit is inserted and assessed with safety laboratory cables. For operation on grid voltage, ensure that
the supply voltage is not short-circuited by the switch, as this can destroy the switch.

9 Function

The ballast unit built into the EduTrainer
Before the power reduction is activated, the lamp must be operated at 100% power for at least 10 minutes.

is connected to the corresponding supply unit when the power supply is disconnected.
Warning
The device must only be operated on a current-limited feed unit. Maximum backup
fuse 10 A(T).
The device may only be operated with a connected PE conductor.
Warning
Electric shock may cause potentially lethal injuries. The device must only be
operated with correctly used and undamaged lamps.

offers 3 different ways of reducing the power:
Area Activation
100% ... 70% As soon as a DALI command is sent to the EBU. Takes priority
over other dimming functions.
100% or 70% When the voltage is switched on at the "SD" connection
Dimming time: 420 s Min 1 s after the EBU is switched on.
100% or 70% When the voltage is switched on at the "SD" connection and
the EBU is switched on at the same time
Dimming time: 420 s
(e.g. bridge between "AC(L)" and "SD").
