Erasing images during playback
(Single image erase)

Press the D button when the image to be
erased is displayed.

Press k to select [YES], and press the
B button.
Using Shooting Modes
The shooting mode changes in the order of P, G,
s, n each time the K button is pressed. By
switching to any of other shooting modes, most
settings in s modes will be changed to the
default settings of the respective shooting mode.
Using the best mode for the
shooting scene (s mode)

mode for the scene, and press the

Shooting with automatic settings
(G mode)
According to the scene, the camera automatically
selects the optimal shooting mode from
[PORTRAIT]/[LANDSCAPE]/[NIGHT+PORTRAIT]/
[SPORT]/[MACRO].
This is a fully automatic mode that allows the user to
take pictures using the best mode for the shooting
scene simply by pressing the shutter button.
Shooting-related settings are not available in G
mode.

Using the fl ash
The fl ash functions can be selected to best match
the shooting conditions.

Press the # button.

Use mn to select the setting option, and
press the B button to set.

The fl ash fi res automatically in low-

light or backlight conditions.
Pre-fl ashes are emitted to reduce
REDEYE
the occurrence of red eye in your
photos.
The fl ash fi res regardless of the
FILL IN
available light.
FLASH OFF
The fl ash does not fi re.
Adjusting the brightness
(Exposure compensation)
The standard brightness (appropriate exposure) set
by the camera based on the shooting mode (except
for G) can be adjusted brighter or darker to obtain
a desired shot.
