Handling
6.1
Transport
Careful transport avoids damage to the fork. The stanchions in particular must be protected
from damage.
6.2
Storage (> 1 month)
Careful storage prolongs the life of the fork. Note the following points:
• Reduce the air pressure.
• Clean the fork and control elements.
• For the remote version, release the tension of the cable strain in order to prevent wear.
6.3
Recommissioning after storage
1. Invert the fork.
The lubricating oil runs from the lower section of the fork over the bushings, therefore
lubricating them.
2. Gently compress the fork a few times.
The lubricating oil is distributed.
3. Check the air pressure in the spring element and adjust it as necessary.
4. Actuate the control elements several times.
The oil is distributed over the seals.
5. Check all of the functions of the fork.
If there are any malfunctions, contact the DT Swiss service center.
