Shrouds and Mounting Tops

Shrouds

The shrouds are steel housings that cover and protect the motor, drum, brake,
transmission, and wire rope. Attached to the shrouds are caution labels, decals, and
identification plates containing information for the hoist. Please read and follow
all information provided on the shroud labels and identification plates before
operating the hoist for important safety and cautionary information. The
identification plates indicate the model numbers, serial number, voltage, motor
horsepower, maximum weight capacity, and maximum lift height capacity. The
toll-free Beta Max, Inc. telephone number is also located on the shroud. Before
calling, please have the model and serial number written down for quick reference.
