ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Change the clutch when engine is cold
1) Clean installation area thoroughly.
2) Remove converter/clutch unit cover.
3) Unscrew clutch housing nut and remove housing.
4) Take the belt off the rear pulleys.
5) Remove the rear converter unit
6) Remove the nut fastening the clutch shoe holder plate.
Notes:
• Do not place the clutch assembly in a vice; place a
calliper wrench in the vice and fi t wrench pins into the
shoe holder plate to prevent its rotation while unscrewing
the nut.
• Before unscrewing the nut completely, fi t the clutch
assembly on a bench and press the clutch with one
hand while unscrewing the nut with the other hand;
use great care as the clutch is under spring tension.
7) Reassemble all components
