Important
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always
be followed including the following:

Do not touch hot surfaces. Lift the appliance by its handles.
To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or
appliance in water or any other liquid.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or
near children.
Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.Allow to
cool before putting on or taking off parts or before cleaning
appliance.
To disconnect, make sure toast lever is in up position, then remove
plug from electrical outlet. Remove plug by gripping plug body and
pulling it from the outlet. Never yank or twist cord to unplug.
Do not operate this appliance with a damaged cord or plug, if it is
not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or
dropped into water.To avoid the risk of electrical shock, do not
disassemble; return toaster to the nearest authorized service
facility for examination, repair or adjustment. Refer to warranty
folder for the most convenient authorized Philips service centre
location. Incorrect reassembly can cause a risk of electrical shock
when toaster is used.
Use this appliance only for its intended purpose as described in
this manual. Do not use accessories not recommended by Philips
Electronics Ltd, as they may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
Do not use outdoors or operate where oxygen is being
administered or in the presence of explosive and/or flammable
fumes.
Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, and do not let
it touch hot surfaces.
Let the toaster cool completely before putting away.
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a
heated oven.
Do not operate toaster without correctly placing the Crumb tray.
Failure to clean the Crumb tray may result in a fire hazard.
Oversized foods, metal foil packages, or utensils must not be
inserted into the toaster, as they may involve a risk of fire or
electric shock.
A fire may occur if the toaster is covered by or touches flammable
material, such as curtains, walls, etc, when in operation. Do not
operate under wall cabinets.
Do not attempt to dislodge food while toaster is plugged in.
Unplug the toaster and allow it to cool completely before carefully
removing the obstruction. Do not use a knife or similar sharp tool,
as these may cause damage to heating elements.
Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces might break off pad
and touch electrical parts, involving a risk of electric shock.
