General installation conditions
Before handling or connecting the equipment, please read
this manual.
Do not obstruct the equipment's ventilation holes.
Allow enough space around the equipment to provide
adequate ventilation.
Do not place the equipment near heat sources or in areas
with high moisture levels.
Do not place the equipment where it may be subject to
strong vibrations or impacts
Safe operation of the equipment
The supply voltage of this product is: 196 - 264V~ 50/60Hz.
If any liquid or object falls inside the equipment, please
contact a specialised technician.
To disconnect the equipment from the mains supply, pull the
connector, never the cable.
Do not connect the equipment to the mains supply until all
the equipment's other connections have been made.
The plug socket to which the equipment will be connected
must be located nearby and be easily accessible.
The equipment should only be opened by qualified
personnel

To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not open
the equipment.
This symbol indicates that the equipment
complies with the safety requirements for class
II equipment.

Instructions for optical connection
For the optical connection, a mono-mode optical fibre with
SC/APC type connector will be used.
Remove the protective cover from the optical connector
located inside the equipment, as well as the hood for the
single-fibre cable's connector.
Connect the cable to the equipment taking care when
aligning the guide pins of both connectors, pressing the
connector all the way.
Connection precautions
Take extreme care when handling the unprotected
connector points since small scratches, marks, impurities
and/or dirt particles, oil, grease, sweat, etc., can significantly
degrade the signal.
To clean the connector tips, rub gently (without applying
pressure) with a lint-free lens cleaning swab moistened with
additive-free isopropyl alcohol. Before connecting, allow the
alcohol to dry thoroughly.
Store connector covers and cable hoods for future removal/
protection procedures.
Always place the protective covers on the connectors of
equipment that is not connected to cables in order to avoid
any chance of the laser beam damaging eyes.
Where possible, avoid switching on the transmitter without
it being connected to the fibre.
Safety Precautions

Avoid exposure to laser radiation. The use of visual instruments
(e.g. binoculars, magnifying glasses, etc.) can increase the risk
of damage to eyes.

- The use of controls or adjustments, as well as different
procedures beyond those specified in this manual could

keep this manual for future reference.

to these operating instructions or under any condition that
exceeds the indicated environmental specifications.
- The user cannot service this equipment. For technical
assistance, contact our technical assistance department.
- The laser beam should not be pointed at people and/or
animals.
