When storing full pressurised gas cylinders outside, there should be a safety distance of at least 5 m between the
gas cylinder container and any surrounding buildings (see TRGS 510, section 10.3). The container must be
enclosed by a 2m (at least) wall to prevent flammable substances from escaping. (The walls of the pressurised
gas cylinder cabinet do not offer sufficient protection).
Assembly
The ground must be level and suitable to support and anchor the gas cylinder cabinet to.
Gas cylinder cabinet with base GS 155-B
(Also see overview diagram of the cabinet (Assembly GS 155-B) S. 7 and parts list p. 11)
Align the location bars (52) at diagonal right angles as shown in Fig. 1 „securing the base to the floor".
1.
Screw screws(29) through the centre of the bars (52) to secure them to the floor (see Fig. 2 „securing the
2.
base to the floor").
3.
Place the side frames (1) on the location bars (52) and screw them in place using hexagonal screws (54, 55,
56, 57) (see Fig. 3 „assembling the base for the GS 155- model").
4.
Screw the rear panel (7) to the side frames (1) using hexagonal screws (22, 23, 24).
5.
Screw the front roof brace (4) to the side frames using hexagonal screws (22, 23, 24), (see Fig. 5
„assembling the protruding roof element").
Fit the 2 roof sheet metal elements (14) on top of the cage in such a way, that they overlap themselves
evenly. The outside upper crimpings must seize over the side frames (1) and the lower crimpings have to
rest on the front roof brace and the rear panel. The roof overhang shall amount to approx. 500 mm in front
and approx. 50 mm in the back. Secure the roof panel to the roof brace and the rear panel using self tapping
screws (15). Secure the U-channel (14.1) to the edge of the roof at the front using self tapping screws (15).
It may be screwed only into the upper crimpings of the trapezoidal sheet metal.
6.
Secure the bottom of the hinge (11) to the side frames using hexagonal screws (22, 23, 24), (see Fig. 6
„hinges").
7.
Place the mortise lock (16) on door 2 and screw it in place using self-tapping screws (20). If the door opens
on the left, the lock needs to be rotated: remove the Phillips head screws from the back of the lock, remove
the front of the lock and rotate it by and angle of 180° and screw the screws back into the back of the lock.
8.
Put the profile half cylinder (17) on the lock, then add on the protective plate (19), plastic plugs (21) and
the door handle (18). Secure the protective plate in place using sunken head screws (20) (see Fig. 7
„lock").
9.
Assembling the door: tap the steel pin (13) into the top part of the hinge on door 2 and hang the door on the
container. Tap the smaller pin (12) into the bottom of the hinge. Align the door, adjust the screws in the
hinges or, if necessary, push the side frames lightly.
10. Put the grid supports (51) and the grid (50) in place.
11. Tighten all screws, if necessary.
12. Stick the following signs on a board (47) on the door, „smoking and open flame prohibited, and no access
to unauthorised personnel" (45 and 46).
13. If the gas cylinders are going to be stored without gas cylinder pallets, the gas cylinder holder (8) must be
secured to the rear panel using hexagonal screws (23, 24, 25) (see Fig. 9 gas cylinder holder). The support
for the gas cylinder holder (10) should be placed under the seam in the rear panel and screwed to the holder
(8) using hexagonal screws (23, 26). The securing chain (28) should be fastened to S hooks (27) pushed
through drill holes in the gas bottle holder and hung on the mesh side panels..
