9. HEADPIECE FITTING
Refer to the separate instructions supplied with the headpiece for fitting instructions, adjustment and use of the
welding visor. Ensure that the face seal is tucked well under the chin and that the face seal is giving a good fit.

10. SPARES FITTING

Fitting the velcro to the inside of the helmet.
Before fitting
Ensure that all surfaces are clean and free from contaminate.
Ensure that Velcro is flat and without creases or loops.
Fit Velcro pieces 1 & 2 (figure A).
Fit pieces 3, 4 & 5 in order (figure B).
Repeat for pieces 6, 7 & 8 (figure C). Note: Ensure that arm (9) does not overlap Velcro.
The Velcro pieces can be identified by the number located on a label on the Velcro. An arrow can also be
found on the label to show which way up the Velcro should be affixed – the arrow should always be facing
upwards.
Fitting the face seal
A) Find the centre of the Velcro strip on the face seal and attach it to the Velcro under the centre of the lens
cartridge.
B) Working outwards mate the entire length of Velcro on the face seal to helmet.
C) Push the face seal securing pad through the top slot in the section of the head harness where it attaches to
the Helmet shell, as illustrated in figure D. Ensure that the D-ring is on the outside of the face seal.
Fitting the foam headseal
A) Push the centre of the foam headseal into the shell to mate with the Velcro piece (1) above the lens.
B) Working outwards from the centre mate the headseal with the outside strip of Velcro (pieces 3, 5, 6 & 8) on
the helmet. Check that an overlap exists between the top of the face seal and the bottom of the headseal.
Fitting the support strap and air channel
A)Push the air channel inlet through the slot in the air channel support strap and Rotate Bracket through 45
degrees as shown in Diagram E. Place the Bracket over the Ratchet Adjustment Knob on the Headband and
tuck in each end of the Bracket as shown in Diagram E
B)The air channel is mounted on the front of the head harness using the two quarter-turn bolts provided. Refer
to figure F. Remove the sweatband: Pass the bolts through the keyholes in the front of the harness and then
through the keyholes in the air channel near the air outlet. Use a screwdriver to turn the bolts one quarter
turn. Refit the sweatband to the head harness.
C) Removal of the air channel is a reverse of these operations
11. MAINTAINANCE
Routine maintenance is limited to cleaning of the equipment and replacement of filters and head/face seal.
