Switching off the TV set
> You can switch off the TV set by operating the power switch on
the TV set or by pressing the On/Standby button on the remote
control or on the TV set. If you switched off the TV set using the
On/Standby button, the television will now be in standby mode.
The LED indicator lights up red.
> The TV set can also be switched off using the Autostop function
(see Section 10).
The television remembers the last switch state (i.e. „On" or „Off")
that was initiated using the remote control or the buttons on the
TV set. If the television was switched off at the power switch
whilst it was in its fully operational state, it will return directly
to its fully operation state the next time you operate the power
switch.
In the event of a power failure, you must therefore switch
off the TV at its power switch so that it cannot switch on
unintentionally.
6.2 Selecting channels
6.2.1 Using the up/down program buttons
> You can switch to the next/previous channel by pressing the
Program +/– buttons on the remote control or on the TV set.
6.2.2 Using the numerical keypad
> Use the numerical keypad to enter the channel number that
you want. For example:

1, then 4
2, then 3,
then 4
1, then 2,
then 4,
then 5
When you enter channel numbers comprising several digits, you
have approximately 3 seconds after pressing a button to press the
next button. If you only want to enter a one, two or three-digit number,
you can speed up the channel-switching procedure by pressing and
holding down the last digit that you want to enter.
6.2.3 Using the program list
> Press the OK button.
The program list appears. Only TV channels will appear in TV
mode and only radio stations in radio mode. The currently set
channel or station is marked.
> You can now mark the channel that you want using the arrow
buttons or the numerical keypad.
> You can move the marker to the next item in the list using the
up/down arrow buttons.
> You can browse up or down a page at a time in the list using the
left/right arrow buttons.
> You can switch to the channel that you have marked by pressing
the OK button.
6.2.4 Accessing locked channels
If you try to access a channel that has been locked using the parental
lock, you will see the Enter PIN message appear onscreen.

If you have selected the Once setting in Section 7.3.1, the
PIN code will be requested once when you switch to a locked
channel. For added convenience, you then only have to enter
the PIN code once during a phase of operation.
6.2.5 Returning to the last selected channel
> If you press the Back button on the remote control, the television
will switch back to the channel you were watching last.
> If you press this button again, the television will switch back
again to the channel you selected previously.
6.2.6 Info box
Every time you change channels you will see an info box appear
briefl y on-screen displaying the program place and the title of the
current programme. Additional programme properties are also
displayed such as transmitted Teletext and the audio mode.
> To display the info box manually, press the Info button.
> If a longer item of information is provided on the current
programme you can browse through it by pressing the arrow
buttons.
> If you press the Info button again you will also see information
displayed on the programme that follows the current programme
(provided this information is transmitted).
> You can hide the info box again by pressing the Info button once
more.
6.2.7 AV source
> To select a device that is connected to the television's SCART
sockets, component input, HDMI inputs or AV connection, press
the AV button. The AV source selection window appears on-
screen displaying the available AV connections.
> Use the up/down arrow buttons to select the device that you
want.
