IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When us ing an electrical appliance, bas ic s afety precautions s hould always be obs erved,
including the following:
1. Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corres ponds to the local voltage before
you connect the appliance.
2. This appliance is not intended for us e by pers ons (including children) with reduced
phys ical, s ens ory or m ental capabilities , or lack of experience and knowledge, unles s
they have been given s upervis ion or ins truction concerning us e of the appliance by a
pers on res pons ible for their s afety.
Children s hould be s upervis ed to ens ure that they do not play with the appliance.
3. WARNING – Do not us e this appliance near water or in bathtubs , bas ins
or other ves s els .
4. When the hair dryer is us ed in a bathroom, unplug the appliance after us e
s ince the proxim ity of water pres ents a hazard, even when the hairdryer is
s witched off.
5. For additional protection, we advis e you to ins tall a res idual current device (RCD) with
a rated res idual operating current not exceeding 30mA in the electrical circuit s upplying
the bathroom . As k your ins taller for advice.
6. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used on or near children or some
dis abled people. Store out of children's reach.
7. Never block the air grilles .
8. If the appliance overheats , it will s witch off autom atically. Unplug the appliance and
let it cool down for a few m inutes . Before you s witch the appliance on again, check the
grilles to m ake s ure they are not blocked by fluff, hair, etc.
9. Do not direct the airflow towards the eyes or other s ens itive areas .
10. Neither s hould the appliance be us ed with wet hands nor im m ers ed in water, held
in running water, or allowed to becom e wet.
