• Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance
at all times. This enables better control of the gas
tool in unexpected situations.
• Prevent unintentional starting. Do not carry the gas
tool with your finger on the trigger.
• Respect the gas tool as a working implement.
• Do not engage in horseplay.
• Remove any adjusting keys or wrenches before using
the gas tool. A wrench or a key left attached to a mov-
ing part of the gas tool may result in personal injury.
• The gas tool is not designed to be used in explosive
atmosphere such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust. The design of the gas tool
will generate sparks and the exhaust will also cause
possible danger to ignite highly flammable fuel or
gas. Do not use the gas tool in this kind of environ-
ment. Do not smoke while using or handling the gas
tool and/or fuel cell.
• Ensure combustible materials are not exposed to
hot exhaust gases.
• Handle the gas tool with care, as it can get hot,
affecting grip and control.
• Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark
areas invite to accidents.
• The gas tool needs to be used in well ventilated
areas. Do not inhale the exhaust, fume or gas as it
is potentially dangerous to the human body.
• Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected
from the battery and/or fuel cell; avoid contact.
If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If
liquid get in contact with eyes, additionally seek
medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery and/or
fuel cell may cause irritation or burns.
• A small release of gas might be generated by regu-
lar operations.
• Do not use the gas tool if it is not in proper working
condition.
• Inspect the gas tool before operating to determine
that the gas tool is in proper working order. Check
for misalignment or binding of moving parts and any
other condition that may affect the operation. Do not
operate if any of the above mentioned conditions
occur as it can cause malfunction.
• When leaving the gas tool in resting position use
the belt/raftering hook or place it on the tool front
or side. Do not leave it resting with the nose piece
pointing towards the operator or anyone nearby.
• Only technically skilled persons, who have read and
understood the operating/safety instructions should
operate the gas tool.
• Keep children and bystanders away while operating the
gas tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
• Store idle gas tools, fuel cells, chargers and bat-
teries out of the reach of children and do not allow
persons unfamiliar with the gas tool, accessories or
these instructions to operate them. Gas nailers are
dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
• Do not store the gas tool in temperatures above
49°C(120°F). High temperature may result in explo-
sion or fire and the release of flammable gas. When
not in use, keep the gas tool from high temperature
sources or direct sun light.
• Do not expose the gas tool to rain or wet conditions.
Water entering the gas tool will increase the risk of
electric shock and/or tool breakdown.
• Always assume that the gas tool contains fasteners.
Careless handling of the gas tool can result in unex-
pected firing of fasteners and personal injury.
• Do not point the gas tool towards yourself or anyone
nearby whether it contains fasteners or not. Unex-
pected actuation will discharge the fastener causing
an injury.
• Do not force the gas tool. Use the correct gas tool
for your application as it will do the job better and
safer at the rate for which it was designed.
• Do not actuate the gas tool unless it is placed
firmly against the workpiece. If the gas tool is not
in contact with the workpiece, the fastener may be
deflected away from your target.
• Do not drive the gas tool over materials that is too
hard or too soft. Hard material can ricochet fastener
and hurt people, soft material may be penetrated
easily and cause the fastener to fly freely.
• Do not drive fasteners into other fasteners.
• Use extra caution when driving fasteners into exist-
ing walls or other blind areas to prevent contact with
hidden objects or persons on other side (e.g., wires,
pipes, electrical cables.)
• After driving a fastener, the gas tool may spring
back ("recoil") causing it to move away from the
work surface. To reduce risk of injury always man-
age recoil by:
∙ always maintaining control of tool and be ready
to counteract normal or sudden movements such
as recoil.
∙ allowing recoil to move tool away from work
surface.
∙ not resisting recoil so that the gas tool will be
forced back into the work surface.
∙ keeping face and body parts away from tool.
• When working close to an edge of a workpiece
or at steep angles use care to minimize chipping,
splitting, splintering, or free flight or ricochet of
fasteners, which may cause injury.
• Do not use this gas tool for fastening electrical ca-
bles. It is not designed for electric cable installation
and may damage the insulation of electric cables
thereby causing electric shock or fire hazards. Fur-
thermore the gas tool is not insulated from coming
into contact with electric power.
• Do not use the gas tool to perform other jobs than
the designated function. Especially do not use it as
a hammer. Impact on the gas tool will increase the
risk of cracked tool body and accidental discharge
of fastener.
• Do not use the gas tool if safety warning label(s) are
missing or damaged.
• Do not remove, tamper with, or otherwise cause
tool operating controls to become inoperable. Do
not operate tool if any portion of the tool operating
