OPERATING AND REPAIR MANUAL NO.08/13 FOR GKS-PERFEKT TWIN LIFTER
The twin lifters must generally be transported in an upright position in a crate or on a pallet and
secured against sliding or tipping over!
Always lower the lifting plates before transporting and storing the devices
The twin lifters must be stored in a dry state and in an upright position. The equipment function must
be checked before usage following prolonged downtimes.
Place both twin lifters upright.
Open the drain screw on the hydraulic lever with the pump lever
(1 rotation in the counterclockwise direction).
Press the lifting plates of both devices all the way to the bottom.
Slide the lifting plates of both devices under the freight so that the frames lie firmly.
Fasten the belts (one belt at the very bottom, the second in the top part of the frame).
Tighten the belts.
Use an additional belt (of at least 2000 daN) for loads protruding beyond the frame on one or both sides
due to their width.
They may not protrude more than 10 cm on either side.
Special twin lifter equipment must be used for excess sizes.
Close the drain screw on the hydraulic lever with the pump lever
(rotate clockwise up to the stop).
Check whether the load is placed correctly and reposition the twin lifters if necessary.
Activate the pump lever while ensuring that the height difference between the lower and upper
halves of the twin lifters does not exceed 1 cm.
Move the load carefully and, if possible, always in the longitudinal direction.
Push only on the twin lifters (not on the load itself)
Do not use on inclined routes – loss of braking effect
Never attach the twin lifters to a towing vehicle as a trailer.
Never leave the freight unattended on the devices.
Do not remove the belts until the lifting plates have returned to their lowermost position.
