10. Chain tension
(adjust only if necessary):
Check the chain tension regularly and the state of the chain, this includes regular oils and cleaning. For a
1-speed wheel, the chain must not be tightened.
It should be a flexibility of 10 mm [Fig. 7] Be guaranteed. The optimum chain tension can be achieved by
releasing the axle nuts of the rear wheel and positioning the rear wheel either direction bottom bearing or
rearward direction. Tighten axle nuts again.
Ideally, this maintenance is carried out with two persons. So a person can hold and the other person
check the correct voltage of the chain and tighten the screws.
[Fig. 7]
Maintenance of the children's bike:
Repeat the points of commissioning at regular intervals.
A first check should be done for safety reasons after a few driving hours.
Check the fixed seat of the fittings regularly.
Check the chain tension again and again and place these if necessary.
Make sure that the handlebar can not be twisted.
Worn parts must always be replaced.
Should a part have bent, please do not judge, but absolutely replace against original parts.
When replacing the brake pads for the front wheel rim necessarily on the right pairing with the rim
(suitable for aluminum rims), otherwise the braking effect is endangered.
To replace the brake pads, you must solve the brake train on the front brake.
Then the two brake arms fold outwards.
Now they come together unhindered to the brake pads, which now dismantled and
can be replaced by new brake pads.
Use only spare parts specified and approved for the children's bike.
This is especially true for spare parts which are indispensable for the safety of the children's bike.
If necessary, contact the manufacturer for advice or the right spare parts.
All maintenance work requires expertise. If necessary, add a retailer for maintenance.

Note on wear:
Some components of your bicycle close functional. How strong or quickly that happens is dependent on the
care, maintenance and type of use of the bicycle. Bicycles, which are often or always outdoors, can also wear
out faster due to weathering (cleanliness is corrosion protection). Regular care and maintenance increase the
life. Nevertheless, the wearing parts listed below must be replaced if they have reached their wear limit.
Wear parts:
Chain, sprockets, brake trains, brake pads, rims, coat (including hoses), handles, protective plates,
Brake access, rims in rim brakes, pinion, saddle cover, wheel hubs, steering bearings and craft warehouse.
