Electrical Connections

Risk of severe injury or death by electrical shock.
• Always disconnect the electrical power before touching the pump, discharge or electrical plug when water is
present in the area.
• Be certain that this pump is connected to a circuit equipped with a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) device if
required by code.
1. Connect the power cord to a constant source of power matching the pump nameplate voltage.
• The pump should be connected or wired to its own circuit, with no other electric receptacles or
equipment in the circuit.
NOTE: Do not connect to a fan or any device that runs intermittently.
IMPORTANT: If the power cord is damaged, the whole unit must be replaced
2. Install a thermal or overload protection control.

Impeller Rotation
NOTE: These instructions apply to only 3-phase pumps.
1. Ensure the circuit breakers are in the "OFF" position.
2. Lay pump on the side to observe the direction of rotation through the intake.
3. Turn circuit breakers to the "ON" position.
4. Make sure the impeller is rotating counter-clockwise.
5. To change the rotation, interchange any two of the white, red, or black wires of the pump at the dis-
connect box.
