age or deterioration. Replace the o-ring if it
is damaged or if the o-ring will not provide
a proper seal. Use replacement o-ring part
number 9100D-600.
CONNECTION AND SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS
For safe operation, do not place the humidifier
on top of the CPAP or ventilator.
The humidifier must always be at a lower level
than the mask and the CPAP or ventilator.
The humidifier must be level for proper
operation.
If the CPAP or ventilator is small enough to securely
fit on the top surface of the humidifier, it can be
placed on top of the humidifier (Figure 4). Otherwise,
the CPAP or ventilator must be placed beside the
humidifier (Figure 5).
1. Connect one end of the 15"(38 cm) connector
tubing to either humidifier port. Connect the
free end of the patient circuitry (patient tubing
and mask system assembly) to the remaining
humidifier port.
2. With the CPAP or ventilator turned off, connect
the free end of the 15"(38 cm) connector tubing
to the outlet of the CPAP or ventilator.
