in normal cutting.
Cutting grooves / window openings
When cutting window openings and grooves, fi rst use
a drill or similar tool to create the hole from which you
will start cutting. Then place the rounded part of the
base plate face on the surface you are going to cut,
slowly insert the saw blade into the material in the
drilled hole.
Angle cutting (G)
To adjust the angle of inclination, loosen both screws
on the saw base plate, see. Fig. G.
Slide the base plate slightly forward or backward until
the vertical grooves in the base plate align with the
two Allen screws. You can then adjust the base plate
to the desired angle. You can fi nd the tilt angle mark
on the bent bracket on top of the base plate to help
you set the correct angle, see Fig. G.
Check the guide pulley before tightening the bolts.
After completing the adjustment, tighten both screws
fi rmly with the Allen key. Cut according to Fig. G.
Tips for work
Always use a saw blade suitable for cutting the
material and corresponding to the depth of cut.
The saw blade cuts when moving upwards and can
chip off the top layer or edges of the material being
machined. Therefore, when cutting, turn the material
so that the top layer is on the side that will not be
visible after machining.
When cutting, do not put too much pressure on the
saw, apply only slight pressure to the saw blade.
If you want to cut accurately, attach a wooden guide
bar to the material as an aid or use another suitable
guide.
Problem solving
If the jigsaw cannot be switched on, check the power
supply. energy, resp. fuses.
If the saw does not work properly, check the saw
blade and the guide pulley. If the saw blade is worn,
replace it. Also check the cutting angle. The saw
blade must be exactly 90º at normal cutting,
The reciprocating saw does not contain any user-
replaceable spare parts. If you do not know how to
rectify the fault, take the saw to an authorized dealer
for repair.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
! Before cleaning and maintenance, always unplug
the tool.
Your tool requires no additional lubrication or
maintenance. There are no parts that you can repair.
Never use water or chemical cleaners to clean your
tools. Wipe it with a dry cloth.
Keep the motor fan vents clean.
If you see very little spark in the engine compartment,
your tool is OK. Increased sparking is a fault in the
engine.
Never clean any part of the tool with a hard, sharp or
rough object.
Carbon inspection and replacement
Carbons must be checked regularly. The operation of
the tools causes their gradual wear.
Remove the carbon holders and clean the carbons.
In case of wear, replace both carbons at the same
time.
Attach the carbon holders.
After attaching the new carbons, let the tool run for 5
minutes without load.
! Use only carbons of the correct type.
Long-term storage of hand tools
Do not store the tool in a place where the temperature
is high.
- If possible, store the tool in a place with a constant
temperature and humidity.
