The following are some common causes of problems that may arise.

RECOMMENDED ACTION
Fill tank with liquid.
Tighten all joints or remake using new
compound.
Clean strainer or suction line.
Install new seal.
Clean debris.
Replace.
Clean debris and use strainer. Tighten fi ller
plug.
Replace seal.
Replace seal.
Relocate pump closer to supply.
Fix leak.
Replace with new impeller or seal.
Relocate pump closer to supply.
Larger lead wires.
Tighten all joints or remake using new
compound.
Clean strainer or suction line.
Install new seal.
Interchange any two leads to reverse the
rotation.
Replace.
Throttle discharge.
Disassemble pump and clean out.
Improve suction conditions.
