Problem
Irregular flame pattern;
the full length of the
flame does not emerge
from the burner
opening.
The flames go out.
The flame seems to lose
heat in cold weather
(below 10 °C).
Potential cause
The burner openings
are clogged or blocked.
Strong or gusty wind
Little gas.
The overflow valve has
been triggered.
Ice has formed on
the outside of the gas
bottle because the
evaporation process is
too low.
Solution
Clean the burner
openings by inserting
a straightened paper
clip into each burner
opening, one at a time,
to make sure they are
not clogged.
Note: Make sure that
the burner is not on
and has cooled down
sufficiently before
touching it.
Increase the flame
height by turning the
control knob to the
"HIGH" position.
Replace the gas bottle
or have it refilled.
See problem "Sudden
drop in gas pressure".
Turn the control dial
and gas bottle valve
to the "OFF" position.
Replace the gas
bottle with another
one and continue the
procedure. Store the
spare gas bottle in a
well-ventilated area
out of the reach of
children.
