4. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
4.1 Direct current voltage measurement
- Put the rotary selector on the V
sure, use the highest range.
- Connect the measuring cords to the source or charge to be measured.
- The measurement is displayed on the screen, with the "-" if the polarities are reversed.
4.2 Direct current measurement
- Put the rotary selector on the A
sure, use the highest range.
- Connect the measuring cords to the source or charge to be measured.
- RThe measurement is displayed on the screen, with the "-" if the polarities are reversed.
4.3 Alternating current voltage measurement
- Put the rotary selector on the V~ position and select the required calibre. If you are not
sure, use the highest range.
- Connect the measuring cords to the source or charge to be measured.
- The measurement is displayed on the screen, with the "-" if the polarities are reversed.

4.4 Resistance measurement
- Put the rotary selector on the Ω position and select the required calibre. If you are not
sure, use the highest range.
- Connect the measuring cords to the resistor to be measured.
- The measurement is displayed on the screen.
- When measuring resistance, the power supply must be cut and short-circuited when
connecting the two measurement cords.
4.5 Diode measurement
-Put the rotary selector on the "
" position, then connect the red measuring cord to
the anode and the black cord to the cathode. The screen displays the approximate diode
voltage drop. If you reverse the connections, the screen should then display "1" (limits
exceeded)
4.6 50 Hz Sinusoid wave output
- Put the rotary selector on the "
" and connect the red and black measuring cords to
the output socket.
Caution:
This operating mode gives an output signal, do not use it to measure voltage. The circuit is
protected by a short-circuiting device. The voltage cannot be higher than 40 Vp-p.
4.7 Battery test
- Put the rotary selector on the BATT position and select the required calibre. If you are not
sure, use the highest range.
- Connect the measuring cords to the battery to be checked.
- The measurement is displayed on the screen, with the "-" if the polarities are reversed.
5. REPLACING THE BATTERY AND THE FUSE
The "
" symbol appears on the display when the battery voltage is low. In this situation,
+
replace the battery. Check the fuse if no measurements can be carried out for a current
inside the fixed range (mA).
To prevent the risk of electric shock, close the housing and tighten the screws completely
before using the device.
6. MAINTENANCE
Caution :
Do not attempt to repair or service your device unless you are qualified to do so and have
the relevant calibration, performance test, and service information.
Cleansing: Use a non-abrasive detergent solution to cleanse the casing.
