CAREFULLY READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE FULL BODY
HARNESS
DESCRIPTION
Full body harnesses are Personal Protective Equipment (PPE against falls from a
height and are in conformity to the Norm EN 361:2002.
The full body harness is a basic component of the fall arrest system in conformity
to the Norm EN 363:2018.
Some full body harnesses are equipped with work positioning belts (EN 358:2018
and can also include a seat harness (EN 813:2008) intended for use along with
positioning and restraint systems.
The full body harnesses IRUDEK are in conformity with the European PPE Regulation
EU 2016/425.

APPLICATION
The use of the harness with a fall arrest subsystem must be compatible with the
instructions for use of each component of the system and with the Standards: EN
353-1:2014
+A1:2017, EN 353-2:2002, EN 355:2002, EN 360:2002, EN 362:2004.
FITTING:
Use a harness of appropriate size. A harness with straps that are too loose or too
tight may restrict the user's movement and will not provide an optimum level of
protection.
Fall arrest harness ( EN 361: 2002 )
Step 1: Hold the harness by the dorsal anchorage ring.
Step 2: Pass the arms through the shoulder straps and close the plastic buckle of
the chest strap.
Step 3: Pull the thigh straps one by one around the thighs towards the front.
Step 4: Close the buckles of the thigh straps one by one.
Step 5: Tighten the straps by pulling the ends of the straps until the sling fits snugly
against the body. Step 6: Use the dorsal anchorage ring or front anchorage ring or
the textile front ends connected by a carabiner as an anchorage point to a fall arrest
system. To locate the anchorage points on the harness, check that a label with an
"A" marking is located near the anchorage point.
Positioning belt ( EN358: 2018)
Step 7: Position the belt around the hip, with the padded back support and anchor
rings D on each side. Pull one end of the belt until it conforms to the body without
impeding free movement and close the buckles.
The belt is padded and has two side anchorage rings, which are used as anchorage
points for positioning at work. The comfortable back support provides excellent
ergonomic support for the back. The belt is adjustable so that the strap can slide
freely over the padded back support, making it easy to adjust to the size of the
