9. Installation
Before the installation, please read the special information in item 1 to 4 of these instructions for use.
9.1. Installation on walls with integrated wooden beams
For safety reasons, this wall bracket must be installed on at least two wooden beams in a minimum
distance of 40 cm. The beams must be sturdy enough to bear the weight of the television set and the
wall bracket. Use at least 4 of the 6 provided fixing bolts (A)
a) Use a stud finder to localise wooden beams in the wall. Mark the edges of the beams to determine
their exact centre. Only drill into the centre of the beams to prevent ripping or splintering during
installation.
b) Carefully remove the plastic cover from the wall bracket (s. fig. 4).
c) Hold the wall bracket up against the wall and level it out using a water level.
d) Sketch in the boreholes (at least 2 per wooden beam) while another person keeps the bracket in
position (s. fig. 5).
e) Put the wall bracket away and drill a pilot bore with 6 mm each (1/4") on all 4 or 6 marks.
f) Place the bracket on the wall above the bores and make sure that the arrow of the bracket points
upwards. Now fasten the bracket with the provided M8 x 75 screws (A) including washers (B)
(s. fig. 6). Do not overtighten the screws and do not let go of the wall bracket before it is correctly
installed on the wall. Also make sure that it is level. Check the tight fit of the bracket by strongly
pushing down the wall bracket arms. The part that is screwed on must not move in the process.
9.2. Installation on concrete or stone walls
Make sure that the wall on which the wall bracket will be installed can bear the load of the television
set and the wall bracket. If in doubt, consult an expert.
a) Carefully remove the plastic covers from the wall bracket (s. fig. 7).
b) Hold the wall bracket to the desired position against the wall and level it out using a water level.
c) Sketch in the boreholes while another person keeps the bracket in position (s. fig. 8).
d) Put the wall bracket away and drill a pilot bore with 10 mm each (3/8") on all 6 marks. Remove
any residual dust from the holes.
e) Push the provided pegs (C) completely into the boreholes, so that they are flush with the wall
surface (s. fig. 9). Use a hammer to bring the pegs into correct position, if required.
f) Place the bracket on the wall above the bores and make sure that the arrow of the bracket points
upwards. Now fasten the bracket with the provided screws (A) including washers (B) (s. fig. 10).
