If the appliance is used in the bathroom, it is

essential that you unplug it after use, as any
water close to the appliance can still pose a
hazard, even if the appliance is switched off.
If not already in use, installing a residual

current-operated protective device (RCD) is
recommended for additional protection with
a rated residual operating current not exceed-
ing 30 mA in the electrical circuit of your bath-
room. Ask your plumber for advice.
Never cover the appliance, for example with

a towel.
Never place the appliance on soft cushions or
7
blankets during operation.
The appliance can become very hot. Never

put your hair between the styling plates for
longer than a few seconds.
Do not allow the hot plates to come into con-

tact with your face, neck or head. Do not
touch them with your bare hands.
