If a fault occurs, first check the points listed below before taking the set for repair. Do not open the set as there is a risk
of electric shock. If you are unable to remedy a problem by following these hints, consult your dealer or service center.
WARNING: under no circumstances you should try to repair the set yourself, as this will invalidate the warranty.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Volume not adjusted
power cord not securely connected
Electrostatic discharge : under the
influence of electrostatic
phenomenon, the product may
malfunction and require user to
disconnect.
Station is not tuned properly.
Unit is not positioned correctly.
Station is too weak.
Unit not in "AM" or "FM" function
mode.
- Volume set at minimum
Unit not in CD function mode.
AUX IN jack is plugged
CD is not loaded properly.
If the CD is self-compiled, the
media used may not be
compatible with the player.
- Exhausted battery
Disc is dirty or scratched.
Dirty or defective disc
Dirty pick up lens
Player is subject to excessive
shock or vibration
Audio cable has not been connected
properly.
Audio cable is damaged.
Volume control is set to maximum.
- Batteries become low

Adjust the volume knob,

Connect the AC power cord properly,

Switch off and unplug the set. Reconnect
after a few seconds

Adjust tuning control,

Adjust the unit to the best direction.

Try other strong stations.
- Slide FUNCTION SWITCH to "AM" or "FM"
position.
- Increase Volume.
- Select CD function mode.
- Unplug cable plugged in AUX IN jack.
- Load CD with label side up.
- Use better quality blank media and retest.

- Replace all old batteries.

Wipe CD with clean cloth or use another
disc.
- Clean or replace the defective disc.
- Use a CD lens cleaning disc to clean
the lens.
- Relocate the player away from shock or
vibration.
Check the connection of Audio cable

between your unit and the external audio
device.
Use another audio cable for connection.

Adjust
comfortable level.
- Replace all the old batteries with new

ones.
