Assembly - ACTA-BACK and ACTA-EMBRACE Shell Bracket
Follow these instructions only if the hardware is not already assembled and attached to the back support. Compass
Power Mount Hardware requires a specific cover style for the back support. If converting a back support from
manual wheelchair hardware to Compass Power Mount Hardware, contact Customer Support for the correct cover.
Attaching the female tracks to the shell bracket:
1 Line up the holes on the shell bracket (A) with the female track
(B). Make sure that the release levers (C) point out and away
from each other.
2 Fasten securely, using the screws (D). Make sure that the
screws are evenly tightened for correct alignment.
WARNING: After installation is complete, check for alignment
with the mounting bracket. See "Cleaning and Alignment - Tracks"
in this manual.
Attaching the shell bracket to the back support:
1 Remove the cover and locate the four holes on the back
support shell (E) for attaching the power mount hardware.
Note: On ACTA-BACK and ACTA-EMBRACE shells, the two bottom
holes are round and the two top holes are oblong.
2 Line up the bolt (F), the safety washer (G), the flat washer (H),
the back support shell (E), and the spacer (J) with the shell
bracket (A).
3 Lightly fasten, using the hex key, and continue with the other
three holes. After attaching at all points, tighten securely.
