SLIDING GATES
5.2
FixIng the limit switch plates
The actuator has an electromechanical limit switch with a
spring rod. The limit switch is tripped by two metal plates
that must be fi tted on the rack in such a way as to engage
the limit switch rod when the gate is near the fully open and
fully closed positions.
!
Warning
To avoid crushing risk, do not use the mechanical gate
stops as the gate stroke limits.
Always leave the safety margin required by current
Safety Regulations between the limit switch stops and
the mechanical stops (Fig.23-Part.A).
•

the operator (see the
•
Move the gate to the
CLOSE position (5 cm from the
mechanical stop). Position the fi rst plate in such a way
that it engages the operator limit switch (Fig.23), then fi x it
on the rack screwing the relevant dowels (Fig.24).
•
Move the gate to the required
it clear of the mechanical stop by the required safety
margin). Place the second plate (Fig.23) in such a way that
it engages the limit switch, then fi x it on the rack screwing
the relevant dowels (Fig.24).
•
Move the gate to an
intermediate position (neither limit
switch must be engaged) and re-lock the actuator. Move
the gate a little in either direction until you hear a coupling
click.
6.
CLUTCH ADJUSTMENT (
The adjustable mechanical clutch make possible to limit the
thrust force of the gate againts any obstacle in its path.
ADJUSTMENT
•
Turn OFF the mains supply to gearmotor.
•
Remove the cover.
•
Hold the screw fi rm with an Allen key 4 (
and adjust the nut with a fi xed spanner 13 (fi g.25-ref.2):
- SCREW DOWN to increase pressure;
- UNSCREW to reduce pressure.
WARNING
The calibration value must be established on the site once
installation has taken place, and must comply with the
existing Safety current standard (EN 12445).
•
Start up the gearmotor and check the gate thrust. Repeat
the checking and adjusting operations until the obtained
thrust pressures complies the current regulations.
If the thrust pressure values exceed, it is necessary to install
a safety device in accordance with the EN 12978 standard.
•
When these operations have been completed, replace the
cover and block it by the fi xing screw.
