SE. Press [PTT] key to confirm changes and return to the main menu. If you press [VFO] key, the
changes will not be saved and the transceptor will return to the main menu (Default setting: "TO").
TO:
It will stop scanning when the transceiver receives a signal or an active frequency, and it will
resume automatically after 5 seconds regardless if the signal is present or not.
CO:
It will stop scanning when the transceiver receives a signal or a active frequency until the signal
disappears, there is an interval of 5 seconds until the radio resumes scanning.
SE:
It stop scanning on a busy channel or active frequency and exits the scan mode.
Channel scanning:
This scan mode is available in Channel mode and Frequency + Channel mode. This feature is to
monitor a programmed signal for the channel. When scanning, the transceiver will monitor the
signal of each channel, and will pause scanning at those channels in which a signal is detected.
Note:
- The transceiver should have at least 2 programmed channels for channel scanning function. Besides the
Squelch feature must be disabled.
1.- To activate the scan, press [FUN] key and then, press [0
2.- The scan will start by the current channel, following an upward direction.
3.- Press [UP] / [DOWN] keys or turn the channel knob to change the scan direction.
4.- Press any key except [MONI] / [ALARM] key to stop scanning and return to the channel.
Pressing [MONI] key, the transceiver will operate in the current channel, when release [MONI]
key, scan will resume.
When scanning, the transceiver will pause scanning at those channels in which a signal is detected,
there is an interval of 5 seconds until the radio resumes scanning.
Frequency scanning:
Under Full Band Mode, frequency scanning is available. When scanning, the transceiver will detect
each frequency step, and it will pauses at the frequency that it detects a signal.
The Full Band Scan mode the transceiver will operate in accordance with the programed frequency
steps.
For details, see the section dealing with the selection of frequency steps. When the frequency
scanning range is wider than the operating frequency range of the transceiver, the transceiver adjust
the range from the lowest frequency and start scanning according to the programmed steps.
