ONFIGURATION
4.1 Low level configuration (AC-MAX HW)
4.1.1 Configuration of communication parameters
FingerPrint communication parameters which concerns Ethernet network and RS485 bus are
configured with AC-MAX HW software. Factory default settings are as follows:
•
IP address = 192.168.0.70
•
Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0
•
Port = 13544
•
Communication is encrypted with default (empty) password
Connection and configuration procedure
1. Connect the reader to computer by means of Ethernet port.
2. Configure your computer's network parameters according to FPAC-MAX FINGERPRINT default
settings. The IP address of the computer must be in the same subnet i.e. 192.168.0.xxx.
3. Install and start AC-MAX HW software.
4. In the opened window (fig.6) select FP
Ethernet
communication channel.
5. IP address and port of AC-MAX FINGERPRINT reader is automatically detected by AC-MAX HW
software if the reader and PC with AC-MAX HW are in the same subnet and communication
between them is not blocked.

menu of AC-MAX HW software, enter such communication parameters as
