Probable Causes
Corrective Action
Plug in pump.
Turn on circuit breaker or replace fuse.
Replace pump.
Allow the pump to operate for at least 5 minutes.
The pump must sit for 3-5 minutes before turning
on to check for water.
Check power supply.
Remove kinks and other hose restrictions.
Release air from discharge.
Release air from discharge.
Larger pump required.
Pull pump and clean. Check pipe for scale or corro-
sion.
Check rated pump performance.
Pull pump and clean.
Remove pump and clean air bleed hole.
Check rated pump performance.
Check that supply voltage matches nameplate rat-
ing.
Pull pump and clean. Check pipe for scale or corro-
sion.
Replace pump.
