Warning notes

G
DANGER
To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury to
the child in the event of an accident, sharp
braking, or a sudden change in direction,
please note:
• Always secure children less than 1.50 m
tall or under twelve years of age in a special
child restraint system on a suitable vehicle
seat as they cannot wear the seat belts
correctly. In the event of an accident, sharp
braking or a sudden change in direction,
they may be thrown against parts of the ve-
hicle interior and be seriously or fatally in-
jured.
• Children must never travel sitting on the
lap of another vehicle occupant. Due to the
forces which occur in the event of an acci-
dent, sharp braking or a sudden change in
direction, it would not be possible to re-
strain the child. They may be thrown
against parts of the vehicle interior and be
seriously or fatally injured.
• All vehicle occupants must wear their seat
belt correctly at all times.

G
DANGER
According to accident statistics, children in a
suitable child restraint system on a rear seat
are better protected than those on the front-
passenger seat. You should preferably fit the
child restraint system to an outer rear seat.
Otherwise, the child could be seriously or fa-
tally injured in the event of an accident, sharp
braking or a sudden change in direction.
G
WARNING
Only forward-facing child restraint systems
may be fitted on a vehicle seat and they may
only be secured using a 3-point seat belt, nev-
er with a 2-point seat belt (lap belt). The belt
must be routed as described below.
The lap belt of the three-point seat belt must
be on the red seat belt guides. Otherwise, the
child restraint system is not properly secured.
Additionally, it can lead to serious or fatal
injuries in the event of an accident, sudden
braking or a sudden change of direction.
G
DANGER
If the child restraint system has been fitted
incorrectly in a suitable seat position, it can-
not protect the child as intended.
The child cannot be restrained in the event of
an accident, braking or a sudden change of
direction. This poses an increased risk of se-
rious or even fatal injury.
Make sure that the entire base of the child re-
straint system always rests on the seat cush-
ion. Never place objects, e.g. cushions, under
or behind the child restraint system.
G
DANGER
If the child restraint system is incorrectly fit-
ted or not secured, it could release in the
event of an accident, sharp braking or a sud-
den change in direction. The child restraint
system could be thrown around and hit vehi-
cle occupants. This poses an increased risk
of serious or even fatal injury.
Also always install unoccupied child restraint
systems correctly.
