While Working
In case of imminent danger or in an emergency,
switch off the power tool immediately and
remove the battery.
Your power tool is designed to be operated by
one person only. Do not allow other persons in
the work area.
Children, animals and onlookers must remain at
a safe distance.
If a circular brush or the sweeper drum assembly
is jammed, switch off the power tool and remove
the battery before removing the blockage. Wear
sturdy gloves to avoid cuts from sharp objects.
Never reach into the rotating bristles – risk of
accident!
During use, do not knock objects, e. g. racks,
scaffolding – risk of objects falling over or falling
down
Never leave a running unit unattended.
Do not operate the machine without the sweeper
container.
Take special care in slippery conditions – damp,
snow, ice, on slopes or uneven ground!
Take breaks when you start getting tired or feel‐
ing fatigue – risk of accidents!
Always wear a dust mask if dust is generated.
In the event of noticeable changes in the running
behavior (e. g., increased vibration, stiffness),

2 Safety Precautions and Working Techniques
stop work and eliminate the causes of the
changes.
If the machine is subjected to unusually high
loads for which it was not designed (e. g., heavy
impact or a fall), always check that it is in good
condition before continuing work – see also
"Before Starting Work". Make sure the safety
devices are working properly. Do not continue
operating your machine if it is damaged. In case
of doubt, contact a dealer.
Do not sweep up burning or smoldering objects,
e. g. cigarettes, ash or matches – risk of fire!
Before leaving the power tool unattended: Switch
off the machine and remove the battery.
2.10
After Finishing Work
Empty the sweeper container after each use.
Before emptying the sweeper container: Switch
off the machine.
Wear sturdy gloves to empty the sweeper con‐
tainer to prevent injuries, e. g. from glass shards,
metal or other sharp-edged materials.
Where possible, empty the sweeper container
outdoors to avoid the generation of dust.
2.11
Cleaning the Power Tool
Always clean dust and dirt off the unit – do not
use any grease solvents for this purpose.
Clean plastic parts with a damp cloth. Do not use
aggressive detergents. They may damage the
plastic.
When cleaning the circular brushes and sweeper
drum assembly, wear sturdy work gloves to
reduce the risk of cut injuries from sharp objects.
Do not use a high-pressure washer to clean the
power tool. The solid jet of water may damage
parts of the unit.
Do not spray the power tool with water.
Do not clean the circular brushes or sweeper
drum assembly with compressed air. The hard
airstream can damage the bristles.
2.12
Storing the Power Tool
When the machine is not in use, shut it off so
that it does not endanger others. Secure the
machine against unauthorized access.
Secure the machine to prevent it from falling over
and the uncontrolled folding down of the push
handle.
