8.5.2 PAIRING THE DEVICE WITH THE FENCE MANAGER VIA A DIRECT CONNECTION

When pairing the device via a direct connection, the energiser and Fence Manager must be in
close proximity of one another.
1. Position the energiser near the Fence Manager.
2. Carry out the pairing procedure in the Fence Manager as described in the instruction manual for
this device.
3. Switch the energiser to Pairing mode.
• To do this, press the on/off button briefly to switch the energiser to standby mode.
• Then hold the on/off button pressed for more than five seconds until the LED on the energiser
starts flashing.
The device can be paired with the Fence Manager.

CLEANING

Do not use aggressive solvents/detergents, brushes, sharp objects or similar
for cleaning as they may damage the surface.

Do not immerse the device in water or other liquids. This may cause a short circuit.
Clean the device regularly using a soft cloth and water.

MAINTENANCE

This is a low-maintenance device. Nevertheless, you must perform regular visual inspections.
Always check the device for damage before use. There are no parts inside the unit that require
maintenance.

Do not make any inappropriate changes or modifications to the device.

Contact the Service department if repairs are required.
If the device malfunctions or is found to be defective in any other way, even after the solutions
suggested below have been followed, contact the manufacturer. You will find the contact details
in Chapter 20.
Fault/problem
The energiser does
not work.
The LED control lamp
is flashing red

Solution
Disconnect the device from the fence and switch it on again. If
the blue or violet LED lights up and the yellow or green LED on
the BARGRAPH flashes, the device is in working order. If not, the
device is damaged (contact the Service department).
If using a battery, check that the polarity is correct and the device
is connected properly.
The battery voltage has fallen below 12 V. Replace the battery with
one that is sufficiently charged, or connect the device to the 230 V
mains supply.
