Checking of UV lamp:
Warning! !
UV light is detrimental
to the eyes!
1. Activate lamp_UV with OK.
2. Check whether UV lamp glows.
3. Deactivate lamp_UV.
Checking of aeration:
1. The tanks of stage 1 (left) and 2 (right)
must be filled up to the minimum level for
this test.
2. Activate pump_air 1 with OK.
3. Check aeration in both tanks.
During aeration, the substrate
must be swirled around well. If
that is not the case, proceed as
described under "Loosening the
substrate".
4. Deactivate pump_air 1 with OK and also
check pump_air 2.
Checking of sludge extraction
1. Activate sludge pump stage 1 with OK.
Water is pumped into the waste-
water line – a swooshing noise
can be heard (also possible: vis-
ual inspection inside the tanks
whether filling level is decreasing).
2. Deactivate pump and also check sludge
pump stage 2.

Loosening the substrate
1. Drain the stages 1 and 2 with pump_sludge
1 and pump_sludge 2.
Just before the tanks are empty, a
jerking noise can be heard. After
that, only the sound of the pumps
can be heard.
2. Now hose down and clean the tanks with a
hose using a strong jet. The substrate must
be churned up that vigourously with the wa-
ter jet that embedded sediments and dead
bacteria are flushed out. Filling level during
hosing down up to upper level of the cross
pass at the bottom centre.
3. Allow the raised sediments to settle for
approx. 5 minutes.
4. Extract sediments via the respective sedi-
ment pump.
5. Repeat this procedure until the water in the
respective tank is clear.
6. Refill the tanks up to the cross pass and
check the aeration again.
Cleaning of stage 3 (service water tank)
1. Remove the lid of the right hand tank and
check for contamination. The tank must be
clean, possibly existing sediments must be
flushed out.
2. To drain the tank activate pump_pressure
and valve_filter with OK.
3. Use the water hose to churn up the em-
bedded sediments and extract via
pump_pressure and valve_filter. Repeat
this procedure until the tank is clean.
When draining this stage it is im-
perative to pay attention to the
pressure pump not drawing any
air (in case of a gurgling noise,
immediately deactivate the pump).
Otherwise, the pressure pump
needs to be vented.
