The Philips Respironics SimplyGo External Battery Module can be used to power the SimplyGo device with a SimplyGo rechargeable Lithium-ion
battery. When a SimplyGo battery is inserted into the module and the module is connected to the SimplyGo, the module will extend the battery
duration of the device. When the module is connected, the SimplyGo will initially use the external battery power. Once the external battery
is fully depleted, the SimplyGo will automatically switch over to its internal battery. The battery used with the External Battery Module can be
recharged using your SimplyGo device or the Philips Respironics Smart Charger.
Cautions:
•
Do not open the External Battery Module case. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
•
Do not expose the External Battery Module to water or conductive liquids; this is not a sealed case.
•
Use only with the Lithium-ion battery specified below. Other types of batteries may burst causing injury.
•
Do not use the External Battery Module without a charged battery installed in the SimplyGo device.
•
Always begin use of your External Battery Module with a fully charged battery.
•
Always insert a SimplyGo battery into the External Battery Module prior to plugging the module into the SimplyGo device.
•
Unplug the External Battery Module from the SimplyGo when the SimplyGo is OFF.
•
The battery icon on the SimplyGo display will only report the remaining capacity of the battery installed within the SimplyGo
device. To see the remaining capacity of the external battery, you can remove the battery from the module and view its capacity
level LED indicators by pressing the indicators button (see Figure 1).

For use only with the Philips Respironics Smart Charger (REF 900-103, 900-118, or 900-119).
•
Any serious incident that has occurred in relation to this device should be reported to Philips and the competent authority of the
Member State in which the user and/or patient is established.

Connecting the External Battery Module
Before use, inspect the external battery module for damage or wear. Discard and replace if necessary.
