USING THE AIR CONDITIONER
Air Direction
Use t he levers t o adjust t he air direct ion left or right .
Tilt t he louver bank t o adjust up and down.
CARE AND CLEANING
Grille and Case
Turn t he air condit ioner off and remove t he plug from t he wall
out let before cleaning.
Air Filter
The air filt er behind t he front grille should be checked and
cleaned at least every 30 days or more oft en if necessary.
To remove:
Open t he inlet grille by pulling downward on t he t abs at t he
t op upper corners of t he inlet grille unt il t he grille is in a 45º
posit ion. Remove t he filt er.
Clean t he filt er wit h warm, soapy wat er. Rinse and let t he filt er
dry before replacing it . Do not clean t he filt er in a dishwasher.
Outdoor Coils
The coils on t he out door side of t he air condit ioner should be
checked regularly. If t hey are clogged wit h dirt or soot , t hey
may be professionally cleaned.
How to Insert the Batteries in the Remote Control
1. Remove t he bat t ery cover by sliding it according t o t he
arrow direct ion.
2. Insert new bat t eries, making sure t hat t he (+) and (–) of
bat t ery are inst alled correct ly.
3. Reat t ach t he cover by sliding it back int o posit ion.

To clean, use wat er and a mild det ergent . Do not use bleach or
abrasives.
CAUTION
dirt and lint will clog it and reduce performance.
NOTES:
• Use 2 "AAA" (1.5 volt ) bat t eries. Do not use rechargeable
bat t eries.
• Remove t he bat t eries from t he remot e cont rol if t he
syst em is not going t o be used for a long t ime.
• Do not mix old and new bat t eries. Do not mix st andard
(carbon- zinc) or rechargeable (ni- cad, ni- mh, et c) bat t eries.
