The following table depicts and describes safety symbols that may appear on this product. Read, understand, and follow all
instructions on the machine before attempting to assemble and operate.

MANUAL – Read, understand,
and follow all instructions in the
user manual before attempting
to assemble and operate.
WEAR EYE AND HEARING
PROTECTION – For protection
against injury, wear ear
defenders and safety goggles.
Wear protective gloves and non-
slip footwear when using the
machine and handling debris.
Never operate the auger in an
area with underground electric,
gas, water or telephone lines.
Prevent kickback by
maintaining a firm grip on both
handles during operation.

SAFETY ALERT – Indicates a
precaution, a warning, or a danger.
WARNING! Do not expose the unit
to rain or wet conditions. Keep dry.
WARNING! Rotating parts may
cause serious injury. Make sure the
auger bit comes to a complete stop
before transporting the machine
or before inspecting, cleaning, or
conducting any other maintenance.
Thrown objects and rotating auger
bit can cause severe injury.
Keep bystanders a minimum
distance of 50 ft (15 m) away
from the work area.
