For the safe handling of batteries,
take note of the following safety
instructions:

Do not throw batteries into a fire.
Never short-circuit batteries.
Do not attempt to recharge bat-
teries.
Regularly check the condition of
the batteries. Leaking battery acid
can cause permanent damage to
the appliance. Special caution
should be exercised when handling
damaged or leaking batteries.
There is a risk of receiving acid
burns! Wear protective gloves.
Store batteries in a place inac-
cessible to children. If a battery
should be swallowed, seek medical
attention IMMEDIATELY.
If you do not intend to use the
appliance for an extended period,
remove the batteries.
