Translation of the original
instructions
The flow meter kit (ref. 073395) allows for precise adjustment and control of the gas flow from the torch,
when connected to a gas supply. The gas pressure in the system must be stable and between 2 and 7
bar. The flow rate can be set between 3 and 30 l/min.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
Clogs blocking the opening.
The wire is slipping on the rollers.
One of the rollers is spinning.
The torch cable is twisted.
The spool's brake or roller is too tight.
Dirty or damaged wire guide.
Roller pin key is missing.
Spool's brake is too tight.
Incorrect mains outlet connection.
Poor earth connection.
No power.
Crushed wire guide sheath.
Wire blockage in the torch.
No capillary tube.
Wire speed too high.
The gas flow is insufficient.
Gas cylinder empty.
Unsatisfactory gas quality.
Air circulation or wind influence.
Gas nozzle is too clogged.
Bad wire quality.
Condition of the welding surface is too poor
(rusted, etc.).
The gas is not connected.
SOLUTIONS
Clean the contact tube or replace it with non-
stick material.
Reapply the non-stick product.
Check the tightness of the roller screw.
The torch cable should be as straight as
possible.
Loosen the brake and rollers.
Clean or replace.
Reposition the pin in its slot.
Release the brake.
Check the plug connection and verify that the
plug is connected to the power supply.
Check the earthing cable (its connection and
the condition of the clamp).
Check the torch trigger.
Check the wire-guide sheath and body of the
torch..
Replace or clean.
Check that the capillary tube is present.
Reduce the wire speed.
Adjustment range from 15 to 20 L / min.
Clean the base metal.
Replace it.
Replace it.
Avoid draughts and protect the welding area.
Clean or replace the gas nozzle.
Use a wire suitable for MIG/MAG welding.
Clean the workpiece before welding.
Check that the gas is connected to the power
source's inlet.
