Connecting to a Personal Computer and Playing Back a Music File (2)
< Depending on the operation environment of the personal
computer, it may not be possible to maintain the USB data transfer
speed. This may interrupt playback or cause noise. Furthermore,
starting other applications during music file playback may interrupt
playback or cause noise.
< If the music playback software is started before this unit and the
personal computer are connected, or the input of this unit is set
to "USB" before connection, music files may not be played back
correctly. If this occurs, restart the music playback software or the
personal computer.
< Even if this unit is in standby mode (power off), a computer will
recognize the USB connection (if the USB cable is connected), and
try to output sound through this unit.
If you want to output sound through loud speakers or headphones
that are directly connected to the computer, disconnect the USB
cable or change the "Sound playback" device setting (see right).

If the sound does not playback normally when you are using a
supported operating system, and the connections are correct as
described above, check the following points.
For Windows XP
"Control Panel"
e "Sound and Audio Devices Properties"
e "Audio"
e "Sound playback"
e Check that "ESOTERIC RZ-1" is selected as "Default device".
< If you want to output sound through speakers or headphones
that are directly connected to the computer, change the "Sound
playback" "Default device" to the computer's built-in sound output.
