20. It is not permitted to switch the device from one gas pressure to another gas pressure. Always use the
prescribed gas pressure regulator (see point 6. 'Technical specifications').
21. This device has an open flame, always ensure that children and pets are supervised by a mature and
responsible person during operation. The fire pit must not be operated by children.
22. WARNING: Keep children and pets well away from the device. The Cosi burner has parts that get very hot
when in use! After use, wait until the appliance has cooled down sufficiently before allowing children and
pets near the device. It is recommended to wait at least 1.5 hours.
23. Never move the device if it is in use. After use, wait at least 1.5 hours before moving the device. Always
close the gas valve of the gas bottle before moving the device.
24. Never leave the open flame unattended during use.
25. Do not touch the lava stones and, if applicable, the ceramic woodlogs until they have cooled down
completely.
26. After use, always turn off the gas supply on the burner and always close the gas valve on the gas cylinder.
27. Place the cover plate over the burner only when the fire pit is not in use. Wait at least 1.5 hour after
turning off the fire pit before placing the cover plate over the burner. If the cover plate is placed before
that, this may result in damage to the burner or even cause fire.
28. Wait at least two hours after turning off the fire pit before placing any protective cover.
29. Do not use the fire pit during heavy winds or a storm.
30. The fire pit should always be used outdoors or in very well-ventilated spaces.
These could include conservatories or verandas, for example. For a well-
ventilated space, at least 25% of its surface area should be in direct
connection with the outside air. The surface area is the sum of the walls that
enclose the space. See the image on the right for clarification.
31. Never use the fire pit in a building, home, garage or other enclosed space.
32. The operating and assembly instructions should be kept with the fire pit. In case of sale to third parties,
these documents must be supplied.
33. The use of alcohol, drugs and certain medications may affect the ability to correctly assemble or safely
operate the fire pit.
34. Do not place or burn objects or fuels in the fire of the fire pit.
35. Take extra care when wearing flammable clothing while igniting and sitting near the fire pit.
36. Do not lean over the burner when igniting the fire pit.
37. Do not sit and/or stand on the fire pit, especially while it is in use.
38. Do not disconnect the gas cylinder or connections while the fire pit is in use.
39. Do not place the fire pit under hanging objects.
40. Make sure you have a fire blanket and powder extinguisher around before using the device. In case of
fire, immediately place the fire blanket on the fire and ensure that the flames are not exposed to oxygen.
The best way to extinguish the fire is through a powder extinguisher. Never use water or foam
extinguishers for fuel fires.
41. Gas cylinders should be stored outdoors or in well-ventilated spaces in accordance with the applicable
regulations. Keep gas cylinders out of the reach of children.
42. The fire pit is best stored in a garage or well-ventilated space. Store the fire pit only when disconnected
from the gas cylinder.
43. The fire pit is not approved as a cooking device and therefore should not be used as such.
