2.
Make sure the gas cylinder is connected to the included gas pressure regulator and open the
gas cylinder valve when you want to use the fire pit.
3.
Make sure the gas hose is always bent down towards the gas cylinder. Make sure the gas hose
is never pressed against hot surfaces of the device.
4.
Are you not using the fire pit? Then always turn off the gas supply on the burner and gas valve
on the gas cylinder.

Placing the gas cylinder outside the device
Do you not want to put the gas cylinder inside the fire pit because you are using a gas cylinder with a
larger capacity than specified, for example? Then you can also place the gas cylinder outside of the fire
pit. You do this in the following way:
1.
Run the gas hose directly from the burner to the gas cylinder and not through the gas cylinder
unit.
2.
The included gas hose is 1.5 m long. So, place the gas cylinder at a maximum distance of 1
metre from the fire pit. Do not place the gas hose openly across the terrace. After all, people or
pets can trip over the gas hose. Therefore, always place the gas cylinder in a place where
people do not walk and where children and pets cannot reach.
3.
Make sure the gas cylinder is connected to the included gas pressure regulator and open the
gas cylinder valve when you want to use the fire pit.
4.
Are you not using the fire pit? Then always turn off the gas supply on the burner and gas valve
on the gas cylinder.
Is the gas cylinder empty and do you need to replace it? Make sure the gas valve is closed at all times and twist
the gas pressure regulator off the gas cylinder by hand. Also make sure the fire pit, the ceramic woodlogs and
the lava stones have cooled down completely! Remove the old cylinder and, if necessary, connect the new gas
cylinder directly to the gas pressure regulator, using the description above. You can exchange the empty cylinder
or have it filled at your local gas supplier. After fitting a new cylinder, always check all gas connections for leaks
(see point 5.5.).
5. Operating instructions
5.1. Instructions for ignition
-
Check if the fire pit is stable and firm.
-
Make sure the fire pit is connected to a filled gas cylinder and that a full battery is placed in the ignition.
Press the small black button (ignition button) fully until you hear a soft ticking, this is the piezo ignition.
If you hear nothing when pushing the ignition button, then you probably need to replace the battery.
Keep the ignition button pressed while opening the gas supply by turning the large knob (gas supply) to
'HIGH'. The burner should now ignite within 15 seconds. Once the burner fully produces flames, hold
down the control knob for another 15 seconds. The flames now stay lit. Do the flames extinguish? Then
try this again and hold down the gas supply button even longer.
-
If the burner still does not keep burning, contact the seller.
5.2. First use
Note! Are you going to use the fire pit for the first time? Then make sure the device is switched on at the highest
setting for 15 minutes. This way, the lava stones are heated well and this ensures that any bumps or air bubbles
will dis appear from the lava stones. During the first use, and after the lava stones have been damp (due to rain,
for example), keep at least two metres away from the burner and also ensure that no flammable materials are
placed around or on the pit within this two-metre radius. As the air bubbles are burnt out of the lava stones, the
stones may jump up the first time and after being wet and possibly come out of the burner.
Want to clean up or move the ceramic woodlogs and lava stones after use? Then always make sure they have
cooled down completely!
The lava stones and woodlogs may eventually blacken. This is due to soot formation, which always occurs with
devices that produce yellow flames. This soot can be removed by blowing/vacuuming the ceramic logs and lava
stones with an ash vacuum cleaner. The soot can also be brushed off with a dry brush.
