● Before each use, check all the points described in the user
manual and check the condition of the AIRBAG system, the
condition of the straps and system fasteners.
● Check the cartridges aren't empty and that the red indicator
isn't visible through the textile inflator protector.
It's strongly recommended that you practise pulling the trigger
handle (having removed the cartridges beforehand), to feel
the force necessary to trigger the WEDZE AIRBAG 30 in the
event of an avalanche. The «click» you hear is a guarantee
of successful triggering. It's necessary to rearm the inflation
system, using the reset tool, after each test.
B- IN CASE OF AVALANCHE
● In the event of an avalanche, trigger the airbag imme-
diately. Pull hard on the handle straight away (8 to 12 kg
approximately). The airbag inflates in about 3 seconds,
whether you're skiing, falling, on top of it, or already stuck
in moving snow.
● Try to escape the avalanche zone sideways, being careful
of the risk of falling snow blocks, stones or flows, to reach
an area where you will be safe.
● Let go of your poles and try to take off your skis or
snowboard. They have an anchoring effect during
avalanches. Place your arms in front of your face to
protect your airways and create a vital air pocket when the
avalanche stops.
● Once the avalanche has stopped, if you can extricate your-
self from it, do not immediately remove your airbag system.
Help any other people, then remove your airbag only after
the risk of a second avalanche has completely passed.
