ASSEM BLY AND OPERATION
APPLICATIONS
Boring holes in m etal, w ood and plastic.
PRIOR TO OPERATION
1. Pow er source
Ensure that the pow er source to be utilized conform s to the pow er source requirem ents
specified on the product nam eplate.
2. Pow er sw itch
Ensure that the sw itch is in the OFF position. If the plug is connected to a receptacle w hile
the sw itch is in the ON position, the pow er tool w ill start operating im m ediately and can
cause serious injury.
3. Extension cord
When the w ork area is far aw ay from the pow er source, use an extension cord of sufficient
thickness and rated capacity. The extension cord should be kept as short as practicable.
4. Check the receptacle
If the receptacle only loosely accepts the plug, the receptacle m ust be repaired. Contact
a licensed electrician to m ake appropriate repairs.
If such a fautly receptacle is used, it m ay cause overheating, resulting in a serious hazard.
5. Check your w ork environm ent:
Confirm that the w ork site is placed under appropriate conditions conform ing to
prescribed precautions.
6. Selecting the appropriate drill bit:
When boring m etal or plastic
Use an ordinary m etalw orking drill bit.
When boring w ood
Use an ordinary w oodw orking drill bit.
How ever, w hen drilling 1/4" (6.5 m m ) or sm aller holes, use a m etalw orking drill bit.
WARNING:
Damaged cord must be replaced or repaired.
