Closing the shade
The shade must be closed in the
event of incoming wind, rain or
snow.
1. If the shade is in a tilted position,
loosen the knob d by turning it
anticlockwise (see figure M).
2. Place the shade in a horizontal
position.
3. Turn the knob d clockwise until
tight (see figure M).
4. Leave the crank handle b folded
in. Release the tie strap c (see
figure N).
5. Hold knob d, push trip bracket e
with both thumbs and slowly pull
down the arm (see figure N).
Important: Do not crank during
the closing process!
6. Attach the Velcro strip supplied
in order to protect the sun shade
against gusts of wind.
7. Slip over a protective sleeve to
protect it against dirt and bleach-
ing (see figure O).
Cleaning the cover
Remove the cover from the frame
for best results. You need a 5 mm
hex key for this.
1. Close the shade (see figure M –
O).
2. Loosen the head plate f on the
upper end of the shade with a hex
key and remove it (see figure Q).
3. Take the cover off the lateral
braces (see figure P).
4. Pull off the cover.

5. The fabric is suitable for hand
washing at 40 °C. Do not use
a tumble-dryer. Do not iron. Do
not dry clean. Comply with the
manufacturer's dosing, applica-
tion and reaction instructions.
Attention! The cover is not suit-
able for machine washing!
6. Place the wet cover on the frame
again.
7. Attach head plate f again and
tighten the hexagon socket
screw (see figure Q).
8. Open the shade and let the cover
dry thoroughly.
9. If necessary, close the shade
and attach the protective sleeve.
Care + storage
The stand, ground sleeve and
frame require no regular care. You
should only relubricate the mov-
ing parts with grease from time to
time and, if necessary, retighten the
screws.
You should take the sun shade
down over winter and store it in a
dry, well ventilated room.
At the start of the season ensure
that all components and fixings are
secure. If you are unsure, do not
use the product.
