All work with this device may only be carried out in accordance with these operating
instructions.
The combination of water and electricity can cause serious injury if not properly
connected or handled. Do not operate the device when people are in the water!
Before you reach into the water to work on the device, always unplug the main
plugs of all devices in the water and from this device! Compare the electrical
data of the power supply with the rating plate on the packaging or on the device.
Operate the device only with a contact protective socket. This must be built according
to the applicable national regulations. Make sure that the protective conductor
is routed all the way to the device. Only use installations, adapters, and
extension or connection cables with contacts approved for outdoor use! Power
supply cables must not have a smaller cross-section rubber hose with the abbreviation
H05-RNF. Extension cables must comply with DIN VDE 0620. Make sure
that the device is protected by a residual current device (RCD) with a maximum
residual current of 30 mA. Keep the main plug and all connection points dry! Lay
the connection cable protected so that damage does not occur. Electrical installations
on garden ponds must comply with international and national building regulations.
Do not carry or pull the device by the connecting cable! If the cable or
housing is defective, the device must not be operated! It is not possible to change
the main connection cable; if the cable is damaged, dispose of the device! Never
open the device or its associated parts unless specifically stated in the instructions
for use. Never make technical changes to the device. For questions and
concerns, contact an electrician for your own safety! A person is considered to
be a qualified electrician if, on the basis of his professional training, knowledge and
experience, he is qualified and entitled to assess and carry out the work entrusted
to him. Working as an electrician also includes identifying potential hazards
and reviewing relevant regional and national standards and regulations.

The radiation of the UVC lamp is dangerous even in small doses for eyes and skin!
Never operate the UVC lamp in a defective housing or outside of its housing.
