CEILING FAN WITH LIGHT
FUNCTION SUMMER/WINTER
The speed setting for the summer / winter function depends on factors
such as the size of the room, the height of the ceiling, the number of
fans, etc.
The sliding switch controls the direction of rotation of the fan for the
summer / winter function:
- a. Down or left for the summer function. (The downward airflow crea-
tes a cold effect)
- b. Up or right rotates for the winter function. (The upward airflow
keeps warm air away from the ceiling)
Note: To change the summer / winter function switch, wait until the fan
is completely stopped.
3. MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
MAINTENANCE
As fans tend to move during operation, some connections may come loose. Check the supporting screws,
brackets and blade attachments twice a year and tighten the fan screws.
To clean the fan, use a soft cloth to avoid scratching the finish. Do not use water to clean, it could damage the
motor or cause a short circuit.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
The fan does not start
a) Check fuses or main and secondary circuit breaker.
b) Check the connections of the terminal block as indicated in the installation.
c) Make sure that the slide switch is completely up or down.
d) Make sure that the stabilizer tabs on the engine have been removed.
e) If the fan does not work, call a qualified electrician.
The fan makes noise
a) Make sure that all the screws in the motor housing are tight.
b) Ensure that the screws that fix the blade support to the motor are tightened.
c) Allow a settlement period of 24 hours. Most noise associated with a new fan disappears after this pe-
riod.
The fan wobbles
Check the wobble after each step
a) Check that all the blades are firmly screwed to the blade supports.
b) Check that all blade holders are firmly attached to the engine.
c) Check that the mounting brackets are firmly tightened to the roof beam.
The light does not turn on
a) Check that the connector of the switch box is connected
b) Check for molten light bulbs
c) If the light still does not work, get help from an electrician.
