Application
Operation is possible in conjunction with:
- Pressurized storage heaters.
- Thermally controlled instantaneous heaters.
- Hydraulically controlled instantaneous heaters.
Operation with low-pressure storage heaters
(displacement water heaters) is not possible.

Avoid major pressure differences between cold and hot water

Installation
Flush pipes thoroughly!

Lift rod (A) must be inserted into the mixer body during
installation.
Fit pop-up waste set (28 957), see fold-out page I.
Seal plug-hole rim!
Open cold and hot water supply and check connections
for leakage!
Check fitting for correct operation, see Fig. [3].

Maintenance
Inspect and clean all parts, replace as necessary and grease
with Grohe special grease (Prod. no. 18 012).
Shut off hot and cold water supply!
I. Cartridge, see fold-out page II, Figs. [4] to [8].
1. Loosen set screw (B) using a 3mm allen wrench and detach
spout (C), see Fig. [4].
2. Loosen set screw (D) using a 2.5mm allen wrench and
unscrew threaded ring (E).
3. Remove spring clip (F) and bearing ring (G).
4. Remove lever handle (H) with ball bearing (H1) as well as
lever handle (I) with ball bearing (I1).
5. Remove ball bearing (K).
6. Remove nipple (L) using an 8mm allen wrench.
8.3 L/min or 2.2 gpm/60 psi
7. Loosen screws (M), replace complete cartridge (N) and
seals (O).
7.25 psi
Assemble in reverse order.
14.5 - 72.5 psi
It must be ensured that the teeth (P) of the cartridge is turned
counterclockwise to the stop, see Fig. [5].
145 psi
The first tooth of each of the lever handles must be located in
232 psi
front of the first tooth of the cartridge teeth, see Fig. [6].
176 °F
• Tighten threaded ring (E) to the stop and turn back again
cold - Right hand
until the next nearest bore of the threaded ring (E) coincides
hot - Left hand
with the bore of the set screw (D), see Fig. [7].
• Insert set screw (D) using a 2.5mm allen wrench.
• Insert nipple (L) using an 8mm allen wrench.
• Using the fitting template (Q), adjust the height of the
nipple (L) and counter using a 17mm open-ended wrench,
see Fig. [8].
• Attach spout (C) and tighten set screw (B) using a 3mm
allen wrench.
II. Flow regulator, see fold out page I.
Unscrew and clean flow regulator (45 091, 13 979), see fold-
out page I.
Assemble in reverse order.
